PACT Update, BOE/BOF/BOS Meeting on October 2nd
Thanks to everyone who joined us for the parade last Saturday! We had a great turnout and fun marching.
If you get a chance check out the pro-school editorial in the Shoreline Times this week. There was a negative letter in both the Courier and the SLT last week that I responded to but would encourage other members to write the papers in support of the BOE recommendation and to encourage the BOF/BOS to support.
Letters to the Courier can be sent to:
news@shorepublishing.com
letters received and confirmed prior to 5pm Thursday will be published on Thursday the following week. If time is tight call Connie Fraser at 245-1877 ext. 0 to confirm.
Letters to the SLT can be sent to:
shorelinetimes@ctcentral.com and are published on Wed./Sat.
We have just been informed that the BOE/BOF/BOS will be holding a joint meeting to discuss the next steps on this project on Thursday 10/2 at 7.30pm in the Adams Choral Room.
Due to this conflict we are moving the next PACT meeting to Thursday October 16th at the Community Center, 7pm. Sorry for any confusion.
We are also in the process of reworking the website and there is more to come, but a PACT calendar and purchasing your tickets to the Bluegrass BBQ on November 8th are available on the website, www.guilfordpact.org.
Please contact me (chris.moore@guilfordpact.org) if you have any questions or want to get more involved in helping with producing published materials, canvassing, talking to groups, or have other ideas to help. The key part of this phase is getting out there, talking to people, and keeping track of who the supporters are so we can contact them to vote.
